For those of you that like detailed figures, the Council has published “turnout” figures on a ward by ward basis for the Mayoral Election last week. (Turnout is the proportion of people on the Electoral Register who actually voted).

Besses - 15.35% turnout
Church - 23.51% turnout
East - 14.73% turnout
Elton - 18.72% turnout
Holyrood - 20.43% turnout
Moorside - 15.10% turnout
North Manor - 27.68 % turnout
Pilkington Park - 19.20% turnout
Radcliffe North - 17.74 turnout
Radcliffe West - 14.01% turnout
Ramsbottom - 17.40% turnout
Redvales - 16.67% turnout
Sedgley - 18.90% turnout
St Mary’s - 16.84% turnout
Tottington - 18.82% turnout
Unsworth - 21.07% turnout
The overall average turnout was 18.25%. 10,338 people voted yes and 15,425 voted no. There were 28 spoilt votes.
