If you live near to St Mary’s Park you will have received the following letter concerning the ‘Festwich Communtiy Festival’ to take place in St Mary’s Park Saturday September 1st & 2nd.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch if there are issues you would like me to raise with the organisers.
Dear Resident
St Mary’s Park is to host two days of a most prestigious concert titled Festwich. Festwich will present the very best in tribute acts catering for all the family with a wide range of musical tastes from tributes to Bon Jovi to Led Zepellin, plus a community stage featuring local Prestwich talent form DJ’s to comedians.
We have worked closely with the parks council management team the police and other partners to ensure that any potential negative impact on the neighbourhood and local residents is kept to an absolute minimum. We want to be good neighbours and to minimize disruption and inconvenience wherever possible. Please see below information relating to the concert and measurements which we are putting into place to minimize any disturbance.
Preparation for the concert in relation to the sound will only take place on the day of each concert and will be no earlier running a test than 10am, the sound will not be continuous, and this is again to keep any potential disturbance at a minimum low.
As the concert gets underway we are working with independent specialist sound consultants who will be constantly monitoring the sound levels within the neighbourhood to keep them at a minimum level.
The concert will start at 12 noon & finish at 10pm. In between live bands the sound will also be kept low with background music.
We will also be staffing a community hotline telephone service in case you wish to contact us for any reason. Please be assured we will address any of your concerns. To assist us in answering any queries you may be asked to provide your name and contact number as we may need to call you back.
We genuinely hope there will be minimum disruption if at all any to you and your family and thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
Should anyone have any concerns prior to the concert we are holding a drop in question and answer session at the Longfield suite on 9th August 6.30pm – 8.30pm and the 10th August 9.30am – 11.30am ,the organizers and a representative for the police and council will be present to answer any question.
