Bagluey Crescent/Middleton Road Bonfire Night

At the request of local residents I have been having discussions with Heaton Park management around their plans for Bonfire Night following the experience of residents in the Middleton Road/Baguley Crescent area just underneath the motorway subway (M60 Middleton junction).
The park and Bury’s traffic management have factored in some red signs at the entrance to Baguley Cresent with Heywood Old Road, which will also cover the ‘service road’ part of Middleton Road next to the Motorway) . These will be the red “No event Parking, Resident’s Only” signs to act as a deterrent.
Hopefully this will help the situation this year – but as always it is something that we need to continue to be vigilant on. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if there are other things that need to be in place.
