Tell Starbucks to pay their fair share

by timpickstone on October 21, 2012

Lib Dem MP Stephen Williams has launched a petition to support the campaign for Starbucks to pay its fair share of tax.

The coffee shop giant paid no corporation tax last year in the UK, despite sales of nearly £400m. I believe that this is completely unacceptable, especially given that it’s UK-based competitor Costa Coffee paid £15m in tax for roughly the same amount taken in sales.

Stephen is urging the public sign the petition on the Fairer Taxes website.
