Just to report back to residents in Simister and the Heywood Road area on some good news for morning commuters who rely on the 96 bus the morning.
A number of residents had been in touch to report that the 7.17 bus was frequently running late, which will no doubt cause problems if people are depending on it to arrange at work for a specific time.
Following the representations I have made, the operator (Stagecoach) have agreed to retime the time the service leaves the depot to be 5 minutes earlier. It is hoped that this change will improve punctuality, but they will monitor the service and consider further changes if necessary.
The bus operator has also asked if residents could contact their Operations Manager with any specific dates that the service has not turned up or has been very late so he can investigate. If there are any please let me know.
