Share your views and experience of gastrointestinal services

by prestwichfocus on 21 November, 2017

Bury residents who have accessed gastrointestinal services are being asked to share their views and experiences in a confidential survey.

NHS Bury Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is gathering feedback from local people who have been referred by their GP for specialist services (hospital care) for gastrointestinal symptoms and conditions such as (but not limited to) inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease, irritable bowel syndrome, gallstones and pancreatitis.

Feedback from patients and carers will help the CCG to plan and improve these services along with individual experiences for the future, ensuring the best possible outcomes for local people.

The survey can be found via the CCG’s website homepage and should take no more than five minutes to complete. A hard copy of the survey can be requested by calling 0161 762 3106 or by email.

The survey covers all aspects of care ranging from the patient’s experience prior to their GP referral to specialist services (hospital care), right through to their care at hospital and managing their condition.  The survey will close on 8th December 2017.

Dr. Daniel Cooke, Clinical Lead for Planned Care at NHS Bury CCG, and local GP, said: “I would encourage patients who have accessed these services to share their views through our quick survey. We would like to hear from local patients and carers to understand what they value about the services and any improvements they’d like to see in the future.  The feedback we receive will help us to plan and improve these services for the future to meet individual’s needs and expectations, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.”
