Volunteers Needed – OASIS Whitefield

by prestwichfocus on 13 March, 2018

There are exciting times ahead here at OASIS – the following information is provided by OASIS:

We are looking to extend our opening hours and activities and have lots of great ideas for families, including after school groups, family film sessions, lunches and more.

But in order to make these plans a reality, successful and affordable for all, we need to run it with the support of volunteers. So therefore we are asking CAN YOU HELP? Or do you know of someone who could?

Volunteers can be from all walks of life, mums, dads, grandparents, people wanting to gain work experience or someone with a couple of hours a week to spare and wanting to try their hand at something new and rewarding.

Anyone who has a heart and a love for working alongside young children and their families would be welcome to join our existing wonderful volunteering team!

Roles Include:
* Volunteers for setting up the venue for our various sessions and front desk staff to welcome and assist visitors.
* Volunteers to work alongside the families being a friendly face, serving refreshments, preparing craft activities and interacting during singing and story times.
* Kitchen/Café volunteers to serve customers, making drinks/ food preparation

There will be a variety of times, days and sessions to get involved in, and full training and support will be given. References will be needed.
Volunteers will gain valuable work and social skills, in a warm, friendly, fun, enjoyable and highly rewarding setting.

If you think this is something you would love to be involved in, or would like further information (no obligation) please do get in touch.
Message Joyce on here or email: or pop in during our current opening sessions for a chat.
We would love to hear from you!
