The organisers say: “Loneliness can affects us all, not only the old but the young and all spectrums of our community. Being alone can be ok and good at times, but Being Lonely can lead to heart disease, obesity, depression and severe mental health problems and even suicide. Being Lonely is painful. We all crave human connection.
Since the 80’s it has become an epidemic in the UK and has risen to over 40% that means, 2 in 5 people in the UK, suffer from being lonely.
This seminar aims to raise awareness of Loneliness and come up with ideas on how we can help end loneliness in our communities”
