Funding Opportunities 2025 Deadlines
Please see below the deadlines for funding applications from both the Cumberland Council Community Panel grants, and funding from the community grants for our two local wind farms.
Border, Fellside and North Carlisle Community Panel Grants
There is one remaining deadline for funding for the 2024-25 financial year. This is 12th February 2025, though smaller applications can be agreed with support of the local ward councillor outside the deadlines.

Hallburn Windfarm Community Benefit Fund
The Hallburn Windfarm Grants are administered by Grantscape.
It covers the parishes of: Arthuret, Hethersgill, Kirkandrews-on-Esk, Kirklinton Middle, Nicholforest, Scaleby, Solport, Stapleton and Westlinton with £66,000 per year
There are two application rounds each year to apply to. The next two closing dates for applications are:
Closing date: 15 January 2025
Decision by: End March 2025
Closing date: 16 July 2025
Decision by: End September 2025

Beck Burn Windfarm Community Fund
The Beck Burn Windfarm fund is administered by Cumbria Community Foundation.
• priority will be given to volunteer-led or community groups within a 5 kilometre radius of Beck Burn Wind Farm
• volunteer-led or community groups within a 10 kilometre radius of Beck Burn Wind Farm as long as they can demonstrate benefit to the 5 kilometre area (see the below picture) or see here: : Beck Burn Wind Farm Community Fund
Round 1: Closing date 31/03/2025, committee meeting 21/05/2025
Round 2: Closing date 30/09/2025, committee meeting 19/11/2025
Beck Burn Windfarm Community Fund
The Beck Burn Windfarm Educational Grants are administered by Cumbria Community Foundation.
This fund is not currently accepting applications and will reopen in April 2025.
Education and training grants for individuals over the age of 16 living within the Parish/Community Councils of Rockcliffe, Westlinton, Arthuret, Kirkandrews-on-Esk, Springfield & Gretna Green, Kirkpatrick Fleming & District, Canonbie & District and Gretna & Rigg, who are enrolled on a further education or training course to develop their skills and employability.
