The proposal to build a new SPAR supermarket as part of a reconfigured petrol station in Longtown has been significantly amended by the owners.

The main changes in the new proposals are:

– Keeping the barn buildings (behind 14 Bridge Street), which are part of the conservation area.
– Moving the new supermarket building from the back of the site to the side, behind the houses on Bank Street.
– Slightly less parking spaces.
